A singer, in order for him to survive, has to book several gigs. He needs an audience so that he can show them what he's got. Gigs are necessary so that he can survive in this field he had chosen. It is what every singer desires; because it is their transport to get to the path that the rich and famous people of music has walked upon.

But the question is still remains unanswered. How do you get singing gigs anyway? Listed here are some of the possibilities:

1. First stop, get an agent. If you can prove yourself to one, he'll take you in. If that's the case, you need not find gigs yourself. Somebody else will do that job for you. All you have to do is to sit back and manage your schedule.

4. Be active in the entertainment industry. Try to affiliate yourself with groups and associations related to music and singing. You will meet important people through it which could help you now or in the near future.

5. Package yourself. Try to sell yourself. You can do it through websites or other similar avenues. You can also try recording a song sample to present to various recording companies, like an audition material.

6. Round up all prospective employers. You have the option to go from one music label to another and apply as a talent for them. Zero out companies that one hold auditions on a regular basis. Also go to hotels and other entertainment establishments as they may need a performer sometime in the future.
